Statistics about school shootings are horrific enough. But when you get past the initial shock, one thing becomes perfectly clear: cameras, metal detectors and even armed guards aren’t enough.
Sure, they’re designed to monitor and keep bad guys out. But, first of all, those methods aren’t very effective at keeping shooters out and, second of all, what do we have in place once the shooter gets in? Right now, not much. Right now, we’ve dedicated so many of our resources to external protection, we’ve neglected the inside of our buildings — which is actually where our children and teachers are. And that’s precisely the protection RASR delivers.
